ORGANISATIONS

We work alongside management and employees to design career solutions that shift a culture from career dependency to career self management - measures that make tangible improvements to productivity, quality & staff morale.

Our interventions tackle presenting issues or barriers such as:

  • Uncreative career paths that cause the best people to leave;
  • Low staff turnover giving rise to a stagnant career/work culture;
  • Poor work relationships;
  • Intergenerational workplace issues;
  • Inability for staff to self manage their career through the ups and downs of organisational change, thus producing a culture where staff refer to their supervisor to solve their career dilemmas;
  • A culture of ineffective staff performance appraisals, producing poor career development plans.

For individual staff, the right career support can mean greater clarity, a closer connection to work that interests them, improved working relationships and job satisfaction. Supervisors notice staff having a renewed commitment and attitude towards the organisation or work team.

Depending upon your circumstances, WorkWare offers a range of interventions that can make a significant difference to your organisation's performance:

Career Programs

We provide purpose-built career programs that contribute directly to organisational objectives and complement performance management systems. For example, we provide strategies for enhancing the giving and receiving of performance reviews, addressing issues such as job design, succession and career planning.

WorkWare can assist you to develop career management strategies that enable employees to more effectively define their career goals, map out their career paths and create action plans. Drawing on our expertise and knowledge, we can assist you in getting the right people into the right jobs more quickly, due to greater awareness of employee capabilities and more targeted employee training and development.

One-on-one Career Counseling and Coaching

We work directly with you, your department or business unit, to understand the changing work context which might be creating the staff issue.

WorkWare has a range of packages from one off career conversations to extended coaching packages. We also make use of aptitude tests, questionnaires and 'self appraisal exercises' which can highlight potential, skills, interests and personality style. All these activities contribute to moving the individual towards a career outcome that often proves a win-win for the workplace and the staff person.

We have a range of consultants who can meet with individual staff for purposes of career coaching and one-off interventions and career testing.

Additional Services

Coaching Managers to Coach

Highly recommended, our 'Coach the Coach' Training program receives excellent reviews. The aim of this training is to identify and apply the skills and knowledge required to provide on-the-job coaching to staff and colleagues within your organisation. At the end of the training program, managers will be adept in conducting a coaching session with a member of staff or colleague in their workplace.

Mediation

We have expertise in assisting with workplace dispute or conflict resolution, which, if unchecked, slows down productivity. Mediation can be a structured process, which engages all parties in a face to face meeting. Prior to this occurring, we can advise managers or parties on how to consider alternatives and develop options in order to reach agreement. WorkWare Consultants are trained in mediation.

Psychological & Career Assessment

A full range of psychological and career assessment is available.

Exit Interviews

WorkWare can support you in gathering data and information on why employees leave your organisation. This can be through formal exit one on one meetings by our consultants, or through constructing tailored exit questionnaires.
